Free music sessions for young people

Free music sessions for young people at Jaywick Martello Tower

by | Feb 26, 2018 | Essex News

Time to get the drum kits and guitars out if you live in Clacton, Jaywick Sands or surrounding villages. Historic Jaywick Martello Tower is hosting free music sessions every Tuesday during term time for young people aged eight to 18. From electric guitar or bass, to rocking out on the drums or singing, the sessions are a great opportunity to learn new music skills and meet like-minded people interested in forming a band. If you’re already part of a band, you’re welcome too.

The music sessions have been provided by the Harwich based charity, “We are Music,” which helps young people engage in the community through popular music; they’re funded through Arts Council England, Essex County Council’s Cultural Development Team and the Essex Music Hub.  If you’d like to find out more or book on a session, contact Jaywick Martello Tower on 01255 822 783.
