Essex Book Festival

Essex Book Festival 2018

by | Feb 6, 2018 | Essex News

Established in 1999 by Essex County Council to celebrate the book in all its forms, the Essex Book Festival remains one of the highlights of our county’s cultural calendar. Now an independent charity working with a huge range of partners in Essex and beyond, the festival invites both homegrown writers and those from all over the world to explore highly topical themes throughout March, hosting over 100 events in over 30 venues, including the very unique Secret Nuclear Bunker and Napoleonic Martello Tower.

Most bookings can be made through the Mercury Theatre Box Office. However, some events have different box offices and booking lines, so please check the programme. Browse Festival events. Pick up a brochure from your local library.
